About
I've spent 15+ years in IT, security, and infrastructure — across government offices, startups, and global companies. The thread that ties it all together? Making systems that actually help people do their jobs, instead of getting in the way.
Right now I'm at 500 Global, where I handle IT operations, security, and compliance for a distributed team that spans multiple countries. Before that, I grew through three roles at BetterCloud — from Senior IT Engineer to Head of IT and Security — where I got to build Zero Trust architectures, align with SOC 2 and ISO 27001, and automate away a lot of the things that used to eat everyone's time.
Earlier in my career, I worked in Mexico's public sector — first as a sysadmin in local government, then leading technology for the Ministry of Civil Protection in Puebla. That experience taught me a lot about risk management, working with limited resources, and building systems that matter when things go wrong.
I'm a founding member of CIGIRR, a professional association for risk management and resilience in Mexico and Latin America. It's something I care about beyond just work.
When I'm not untangling someone's access issues or automating onboarding workflows, I'm probably 3D printing something, deep into a hard sci-fi novel, or watching an F1 race pretending I understand tire strategy.
My principle
“Technology should support people, not slow them down.”
